NeckTune is a guitar tuner made by WRJ Ventures LLC. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app and keep it free. This policy explains what is and isn't collected.

Your microphone audio stays on your device

NeckTune uses your device's microphone to detect the pitch of your guitar. This audio is analyzed live, entirely on your device, to show the note you're playing. It is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

Data collected by third-party services

To keep the app free and reliable, NeckTune uses a few well-known third-party services. They may collect limited data as described below:

Google AdMob (advertising) — may collect device identifiers, advertising data, approximate (IP-based) location, app-interaction data, and diagnostic data to show and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat (purchases) — processes your in-app purchase ("Remove Ads") and stores anonymous purchase records so your purchase can be restored. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Sentry (stability) — collects crash and performance diagnostics if the app encounters a problem, so we can fix it. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Tracking and your choice

Because ads may use your device's advertising identifier, NeckTune shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt the first time you open it. You can allow or decline tracking. If you decline, the app works exactly the same — you'll simply see less-personalized ads.

Removing ads

You can make a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase to remove the banner and the advertising data collection that comes with it. Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.

Children

NeckTune is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
